Ceramic roof tiles, oil on canvas
208 x 150 x 5 cm

This painting uses linguistic elements as painterly language to comment on the cultural and sociopolitical specificity in the Athenian landscape. The words ‘faces, slaps’ aim to create a connection to violent actions and revolt. The painting is leaning on a pile of ceramic tiles on the bottom left corner making the work tilt to the right. This imbalance relates to similar feelings of personal instability.
